Women Of God

Hello and God Bless!

It has truly been a long time, but never forgotten! You are always on my mind and in my prayers. I recently received a message from a sistah that fit my sentiments exactly. I decided to send it along to you (I will not take any credit), I know you will enjoy what she had to say. Listen hang in there! This is not the time to be giving up!

STAND!

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore …” (Ephesians 6:10, 11 KJV)

Yeah, I had to take it King James on y’all, It’s like THAT.

It’s been a while since my last note, but sometimes God just had you to be still (Psalm 46:10). Today though, I had to say something, just one word:

STAND

Though the bills are longer than the money ….

STAND                          Though the trip is farther that the gas in your tank …..

STAND                          Though the people who are supposed to have your back—are                                               stabbing you in it …

STAND                          Though your air conditioner can’t keep up with the temperature …

STAND                          Though the money hasn’t arrived but the bills keep coming ……

STAND.                         Having done all, to stand … Stand therefore … That’s right get up.

And once you’re on your feet, get dressed! Put on the garments of praise. Slip some truth on your feet, snap up the bra of righteousness (yeah, I said it) pull up your truth skirt and initiate your sistah shield of faith also known as hater blockers, don’t forget your holy hat, the helmet of salvation and of course your super sistah weapon, the sword of the Word.  All dressed? Good. Now put some grace on your face for good measure and STAND!

It’s been a long summer. Causalities ran high, money ran low. Promises were made and broken, both by us and to us. Time passed faster than we could catch up. And yet, the victory is still available, still in reach. The victory is being found faithful, fully dressed and STANDING (either Leaning On The Everlasting Arms or Standing in the Need of Prayer).  STAND!

 ^^^^^^^^^^^

Whew! This sistah sounded like she has been through something, but then so have you (and me) - Pastor preached Sunday (16th—August) that in order to be prepared, we had better put on the whole armor of God!   This letter was right on it!    I’ll see you next month.                 Love ya’ll    Elect Lady Linda
